I'm sacred for the players in the return leg. Is anyone following espanyol forums ?

I just read a bit, seems most of their better players are injured or suspended.

One of them made a post judging the ones who said all that stuff about Pique and his family.

They actually seem normal people... but I haven't really spent much time there to say for sure.

Who are these Espanyol followers, I always wonder? Why do they hate us so much?

I mean I know the history but today most of their fans should be ethnically Catalan as well so I don't get why there is still such a sense of hatred toward us. Just because their fathers and grandfathers were fascists and loyalists?

Nothing is normal about this club. What kind of fucking catalan club names itself "espanyol"?

This is quite fascinating to me aswell.

It probably runs through family, yes. But they seem so violent now, maybe the unemployment in Spain is just so bad that people have nothing else to do. (It's just a guess tho).
Maybe it's the Catalonia independence subject that makes them angry, they want to be part of Spain.

To get the main point, you should look at Espanyol as Real Madrid and us as Atletico Madrid.

Well there is a small hope that we get a good referee and Lucho will rotate half of the team, Suarez not playing might benefit as well because Espanyol players would want to retaliate even more.

It's not just the Espanyol players that i'm worried from, the fans as well !!

Isn't it just natural city rivalry? Like Arsenal vs Tottenham or Everton vs Liverpool?

Not just that, I sensed that they detest everything Barca stands for and particularly Catalan identity and independence etc. They seem to be a bunch of Castilian hold-outs and Catalan loyalists in Barcelona that side with Madrid on everything politically.

I'd be sooooo happy if this club of disgrace gets relegated. I will buy everyone a drink!

Iniesta and Espanyol captain Javi Lopez plan to talk in coming days to lower the tension ahead of Copa game on Wednesday. [sport]

The meeting will probably end up in a fist fight:lol:

I hope we leave Messi and Neymar on the bench nontheless.

Bartra simply needs to play this one.

Not really Barca style, but at times like this i really regret we don't have someone like Vinnie Jones in our team. Break some legs, get disqualified for the rest of the season - statement made - don't fuck with us.
