The journalists are correct. 3-0 wouldn't be enough for Marseille. Assuming Milan beat Zurich they would be on 11 points. A win for Marseille would level them on 10 points with Real. Two 3-0 results would mean head-to-head they are even. It then goes to goal difference and goals scored (think it's that order). Both have scored 12 goals but Real have conceded a goal less, giving them a better goal difference.

By the way, I don't know why, but yesterday after the machtes, every journalists were saying Marseille needs to win 4-0 vs Real Madrid.
It's 3-0, not 4-0.
Journalits can't count.

No you can't count ..

4-0 as Cal explained

1-0 will be enough, Milan should win against Zurich and hopefully a very nice fixture against Manchester or Chelsea in the next round for Madrid. I would enjoy that.

That post made no sense.

What he means to say is UEFA would want all the English clubs to easily progress to the next round. And, acc to Vivabarca Real Madrid could knock one of them out if they were drawn against them. Hence, Uefa 'll be looking to draw Real madrid against one of the other toppers (french clubs) of their respective grps if Madrid finished second in theirs.
This is what he meant i suppose. :icon_confused:

ya, I got what he meant.

All I hear is that Platini and the UEFA hates the english teams. Why would the UEFA want them to prgress?
And Real would be a rather easy draw for english teams at the moment imo.

If 3-0 (it's fun to speak about this, but it won't happen =p), then Real and Marseille will be at 10 points each.
So it goes to goal difference.
Real has +6, Marseille has +2.
But after a 3-0, it will be +3 for Real, +5 for Marseille.
So 3-0 would qualify Marseille, not Real.
You've add the 3 goals for Marseille, but you forgot to add the 3 goals against Real in your counting ;)

No you can't count ..

4-0 as Cal explained

No I'm pretty sure I can ;)

Holy shit you're completely right, I totally forgot to alter Real's GD  my mistake. 3-0 would certainly do it then, although it is an unlikely scoreline, it's still interesting to know what could happen.

Would be fun if Marseille win 3-0, and then Madrid think they are qualified because of the journalists misstake :D
(yes I know, I am dreaming =p)

It's difficult not because Marseille can't score 3 but because if Real score 1, it's over since they'lle have to score 5 goals.
Anyway, when a team is under pressure to get a certain number of goals, they suffer a lot. Take Real Madrid against Alcorcon in Madrid. Even if they dominate, they suffer to score. Personally, I would like Real Madrid to win. If Marseille could guarantee to get 3-0 and Milan win, it's great, but I don't think either is guaranteed. Milan will most probably draw since they have hard time beating less powerful teams, and Marseille might very well win 2-1 or something, which would eliminate Milan, so Go Madrid. And I don't care about facing teams that topped their group. It means nothing. Besides, a lot of better teams ended second.
Oh and Oddo sucks.

So here I am again to save your God damn lives by posting all the fixtures since you are a bunch of mindless fools who don't know where to look for fixtures.

Jokes. Love ya'll!

All eyes will be on the Barca group, but you'll expect Inter to get through. Might as well post the points of the groups that haven't been totally settled yet.

Group A:
1 Bordeaux 13
2 Juventus 8
3 Bayern Munich 7
Group B:
1 Manchester United 10
2 VfL Wolfsburg 7
3 CSKA Moscow 7
Group C:
1 Real Madrid 10
2 AC Milan 8
3 Marseille 7
Group F:
1 Barcelona 8
2 FK Rubin Kazan 6
3 Internazionale 6
4 Dynamo Kiev 5
Group G:
1 Sevilla FC 10
2 Unirea Urziceni 8
3 VfB Stuttgart 6
Group H:
1 Arsenal 13
2 Olympiakos 7
3 Standard Liege 4
The reason some of the group standings only have 3 teams listed is because I didn't bother to put in the no hopers.
