I really do enjoy watching Chelsea lose.

Feghouli has really come into his own for Valencia. Haven't really got to watch much of Bayern this year, how is Javi Martinez playing with them? He'll never be able to live up to the 40M they spent for him.

Looks like all 4 clubs from La Liga are going to advance. So much for the EPL being superior to every other league in Europe. Manchester City has one of the best squads in Europe on paper but play like a bunch of frauds. Hopefully they can get the full 3 points @ home to make Group D interesting.

Shit, I was too busy with my studies to watch that game. When I saw Chelsea's lineup (5 defenders ) I knew it'd be an epic game. Oh well, I'll just have to download it later.

So, now Chelsea are already out? Or only if Shakhtar & Juve draw? By what scoreline must Juve win against Shakhtar for both Juve and Chelsea to proceed?

As far as I can see, Chelsea are out unless Shakhtar beats Juve, and Chelsea of course takes all three points against FCN.

so the team that knocked us out last year and that in the end won the CL is most likely out of the competition?

exactly, because now Chelsea (Di Matteo) is triyng to play soccer, but they are not able.

Well the lesson this teaches us is kinda depressing...dont try to play beautiful football, just park the bus and grind out the results?

The annoying part was everyone defending or justifying it. It had nothing to do with football, its not the reason why any of us fell in love with the game to begin with.
It was just a the end justifies the means strategy that got praise from people who grew tired of Barcelona winning and dominating.

It didn't need defending or justifying, there's nothing wrong with it. You don't get to re-define football just because there are forms of the game that you don't like. The idea that the only reason people praised Chelsea was because they were sick of Barca borders on the egotistical. People praised them because they were an inferior team that overcame their disadvantage through pure spirit and hard work. They could have easily crumbled at many points in the campaign but stuck with it and got their rewards. If Barca had shown a fraction of that resolve and efficiency in front of goal then maybe it would have been them lifting the trophy instead.

IMO, the only players that actually deserved the Champions League with Chelsea were Mata, Petr Cech, and Ashley Cole. Not even Drogba. He dove at least 10 or 15 times throughout both legs and conceded penalties against us and Bayern Munich. Chelsea were defended well but it was mostly the most lucky champions league run ever. They are technically the "european champions" but it disgusts me to say that as they were at no point clearly superior to their opponents. Barcelona in 2011 dominated Arsenal, Shakhtar(once again proving they are legit), Real Madrid, and Manchester United.
