Porto: No threat from them. If we play our best and they play their best, we should beat them comfortably.

PSG: Weak without Ibra. Even with Ibra I don’t think they’d stand a chance at all.

Schalke: Nope, no chance over two legs.

Arsenal: In the current form their defensive half is in, they too stand no chance. Their midfield and defense is completely shit defensively without Diaby.

Malaga: Impossible, same country.

Milan: Historically one of the greats, currently worse than Malaga

Dortmund: Impossible, same group

Bayern: Most dangerous possibility, good midfield and good offense with good keeper in goal. Wouldn’t want to draw them this early.

Valencia: Impossible, same country.

Juventus: Second most dangerous, best midfield in CL after Barca’s, and good keeper + defense. Slightly weak in offense, but can pose a serious threat.

Shakhtar: Third most dangerous, very similar to Dortmund style-wise. We’d definitely be the favorites, but they have more than a chance at winning at their ground. Over two legs, it'll be more even as we have the better depth, but we also have a much more rigorous league that'll also drain us, so that evens it out.

Barca: Impossible, same country

United: Very strong offensively, if their forwards are clicking they can pose a serious threat, but their midfield and defense are horrible. I’d expect them to be worse than City.

We’re mostly at danger against teams that dominate the midfield. Bayern and Juventus are capable of that, and Shakhtar can prove to be too fast for our players, as Borussia did. So, those three would worry me the most, with the rest we shouldn’t have that much of a problem. At least that’s what’s on paper.

united will have vidic back for the knockout stages, evra, ferdinand, vidic, rafael is pretty good backline, we have the attacking players but it all depends on the midfield, i would play a diamond in midfield and not play the wingers, the only way united can go far is to fill up the midfield, aside from nani the wingers are not good enough at the moment, but form might be different later in the season, its unlikely united can win it this season but far from impossible, the only team i would say we have no chance against is barca as we don't have the combative players in midfield to stop the passing game..........

If money doesn't buy you success why are you presenting it as an argument?

If you are trying to proof that spending money does not mean success then why are you expecting City to do good in CL by spending '300 mil'.

City will get there, some time : )

Lol, haters calculating how much someone spends.

Oh and Dortmund will have a big chance of winning this CL if they don't face some bad luck in the following games.

You used to be cool

Does City even have haters outside of Manchester? I mean, there are plenty people laughing at them and mocking their terriblesness, but haters are reserved for people and clubs that are actually succesful. City, though, they're just the laughing-stock of European football.

The CL is brutal this season. Barca, Real, Bayern, Dortmund, Juventus, United, Milan, Arsenal, Valencia, Shakhtar, PSG, Porto ... No bullshit like APOEL, Basel, ZSKA Moscow, Leverkusen, Lyon, Zenit, Inter, Marseille and Chelsea like last season.

As far as the Round of 16, and if the reality corresponds with what's on paper. Anything can happen in each set of 90 minutes, teams could drag their way through against all odds like Chelsea, certain events can occur changing all plans, etc.

I expect us to go out at the Semifinals again.
