Simeone has done a remarkable job, and deserve every plaudit. From man-management to tactical set-up, he's been excellent. I hope he brings the CL back to spain.

From last night's matches, I thoroughly enjoyed BD's performance, both electrifying and inspiring. And I didn't think their tempo would last the 90. It sure did brought alive the football romantic in me. They've something special going on, and should be allowed to build on it. My best wishes in the domestic cup.

And I don't mind Chelsea progressing. They're likely to cause more damage to RM, than PSG would. The latter's overrated, and so is their manager.

And my post was deleted yesterday when I said Atletico were my 2nd favoured matchup. Tsh. Anyway, very happy they made it. My 2 favoured sides are in the semis. At this stage I don't care who I get but would still prefer Bayern and Atleti since I'd rather play Real in the final if we make it.

I'd love a Bayern - Atletico final, as well as a repeat of that 74 final :p . I'm not really confident we can reach the final however, we weren't great against a struggling United side. Chelsea and both Madrid sides can trouble us much more I reckon. Not feeling very confident but if it's not us I'd love it if Atletico won it.

Hoping for Real-Bayern and Chelsea-Atletico, then Atletico-Bayern with Atletico winning it all. I think Atletico can beat both Bayern and Chelsea, but Real seem to have their number this season.

I am looking forward to a Atletico vs Chelsea simi just to see how Chelsea will perform against a team similar to theirs. Hoping Atleti reach the final.

Everyone thought Pep would scratch the whole #9 aspect of Bayern and play Gotze as false 9. Well he played Gotze, Muller, Ribery, Robben AND Mandzukic all at the same time. That's the kind of versatility we lack and can easily be fixed with one CF.

After reading other forums so many people are overrating RM when in big games they have nothing to show outside of the home leg vs a weakened BvB. Their defense is a complete joke, Varane is probably their best defender cause i cant call what Pepe and Ramos defending its more like wrestling. Their midfield is weak, Xabi Alonso is past it and doesnt give the defensive cover he is supposed to. All they can rely on is individual brilliance from BBC which any top team has shown they can neutralize if they stay disciplined. They are still a dangerous team but if you defend well RM will leak goals.

Personally i would prefer Bayern to play them cause i think Pep can get his tactics right against them and Bayern have always had a good H2H record vs them hence the name their fans have given us "La Bestia Negra" :p

Hm, no... I feel like Atletico should be avoided in the semis and the final (meaning let someone else eliminate them).
We've seen what the Atletico bus can do against Barca six times now, and even though Barca has no one even close to Mandzukic (giving Bayern a helluva lot more options offensively), I feel like Atletico would pose a much tougher challenge than Real or Chelsea at this point.

I want to see:

Chelsea - Atletico & FCBM - RM

Chelsea-Atleti would be great(ly boring) to watch. I personally don't remember watching a head-on accident of two busses.

Bayern-Madrid. No words. Bayern to go through.

Bayern-Real is the only game that won't be a snooze. All credit to Atletico, but really not much different than Chelsea; defend cohesively in double banks and break. FFS, Koke's goal came off a Courtois hoof-ball, and was just crap defending by Barça (Busquets ball-watching as Koke ran unmarked to the back post). Diego's goal last week was a Hail Mary guided into the upper right corner of the goal by a band of angels, like sweepers guide a stone in a curling match.

I'm rooting for Bayern at this point. Buses, counterattacks, hoofball...barf. Had Barça gotten past Atletico, I'd have put money on Barça to take it all.

Atletico have to pay Chelsea 8m pounds or more to have him play us, so they said they aren't playing him cause they can't afford it. I assume that figure is over 2 legs.

Really sad to see united fans hating on Moyes.

He did well against Bayern plan worked out just Rooney last night and Welback in first leg missed too good opportunities. When against a side like bayern you can't afford to miss opportunities like these and make everything count.

I always believed rooney is a constant big game fail and he proved it again.

Evra on the other hand played for pep and bayern. Culprit in all three goals and the last goal by robben was hilarious.
