Barca's 433 was outran lately by majority of opponents.
Pep's City's 433 has similar problems in EPL and now against better European teams.

Ok, we don't have a proper RB, our midfielders are slower, City don't have the right players.
But imo, we should also consider an option that majority of teams have found an answer for 433 and that it is easy to neutralize it.

Regarding Barca, even with a proper RB, I am not too confident that we will play too well anytime soon in a classic 433.
I would personally like to see some variations like 343, 442 or 451 from us in the future.

If Barca can get a decent RB, I think 433 is the way to go! 343, 442 or 451 d be interesting but more variations also mean less stable!

Yes but 1 Dcm, 2 Cms, 2 wingers, 1 Cf again, only a few meters of difference for some positions.
4141 is quite similar to a classic 433.

They won't be easy for anyone. Maybe Real type of playing suits them least.

Yeah, Monaco seem like tough cookies! But I doubt Barca ll get to play against any team apart from Bayern, Atletico or Juve in the quarters!

I don't know, Silva and KDB are more AMCs than CMs to me.

It is quite similar imo.
Plus, "the system" how people often say on forum (more than just a formation) is still good-old Pep's "system".
1 short forward (Aguero), 2 fast shorter wingers, short technical Cm/Amc in David Silva.
KDB is the only taller player out of attacking 5.
They can't cross to a Cf and they don't have any other options, but a classic Pep's option: pass the ball around the box till death and hope for the best.

Monaco is making the same mistake they did in the first game. They have to continue playing like they did in first 45 min or they will go out. It's dangerous to give the ball to City so much they have to keep on pressing.
