I wonder what the logic is behind all those "impossible pairings"?

Some teams from the same country have to play on different days. E.g. Barca and Real or Bayern and Dortmund.
So there is no possibility for Dortmund to get into groups A-D if Bayern is already in one of those groups. That was the reason it was impossible for us to get BVB at all after we and Bayern were drawn into A-D.
