These are experienced teams. Penalty misses happen. That doesn't affect the entire second half of a team. This is the quarter finals of the CL. Both these teams were sufficiently motivated to win.

Yes, but the inferiority complex that Atleti must have to RM in Europe has to be pretty heavy. They didn't 'bend over' for RM in either of the finals, fighting hard only to suffer at the last. However, it's hard to imagine this Atleti team being able to win against RM in another final should they meet.

Juve probably have the best chance at overcoming them, but even they would be clear underdogs in that tie IMO.

I am going to detach myself from CL, I fear the worse and don't want it to affect me to deeply.. My only concern should be Barcelona. I just hope healthy decisions are made for the club for present and future.

At least they have 180 minutes of which 90 are played at home turf. A final against Madrid is a game where they are already mentally handicapped.
