Champions League 2016/17

Real will crush Juve or Monaco. They are just the best in the world right now. Good transfers, looking into the future paid off for them.

Instead of planning ours we clung on the Messi-Xavi-Iniesta-Busi generation. Xavi got old, Iniesta is declining too. It all starts from the midfield. Transfers of the likes of Gomes, Digne, D. Suarez, even Turan were horrendous. The only decent signing was Umtiti. We needed a word class right back, another word class central defender and 2 word class midfielders. You can't have everything just with MSN.

What Master Mind Simeone did during the last years is simply fantastic...

Atletico had 2 decent chances, Gameiro alone with GK and Godin volley after Griezmann freekick. Played poorly after 60 minutes, Real completely dominated. After second goal they gave up, third goal was a joke - Ronaldo was unmarked 10 yards out, almost at penalty spot.

That doesn't change the fact he is the biggest loser in last 10 years. Only thing that he still has to lose is WC final against Portugal!!!

Honestly Mourinho would win 1 out of 4 against Real even with f... Malaga!

A lot of top teams want him as coach, he has only to choose
He brought ATM to the top teams, with a ridiculous budget compared to top teams.
For me, he is a fantastic coach, perfect for ARG

I seriously think they never really recovered from the last minute equalizer from Ramos in that first CL final. It permanently destroyed their brain/mindset.

But even with that destroyed mindset they still knocked out Barca.

That tells a lot about our poor mindset then also, right?

While Rm, on the other hand, doesn't have mental issues/fears against anyone.

How many of those years Atleti midfielders played with MSN?

Where was Barca midfield vs poorer Juve team in Turin?

Koke had a decent enough game and created their best chance anyway.

I am not saying our midfield is good at the moment but Koke was horor show today. Slow with and without a ball, late in every duel and he made a number of wrong passes. Comparing him to midfielders like Xavi, Iniesta or Modric like some people here were doing in last few years is absurd. He is just a hard working average player and that's it. He is nowhere near "world class" level.

But I recall that most fans even here said we don't need to sign starting eleven material.
Our starting 11 is fine, we just need players comfortable sitting on the bench as backups

And the board thought the same I suppose
