Well atleast Atletico didn't keep me waiting this time around. haha

First 15 minutes their energy was amazing, then they just let Real back into the game.

As soon as Real realised they were in trouble they upped it and were the much better side.

That's part of the issue. The other part is that Simeone just proved again that he only attacks when he doesn't have a choice. After they made 2-0 they just went back to parking the bus and hoping to nick 1 goal late in the game to take it to ET.

If Atletico could have somehow kept that rythm and that pressure, more goals would've came. Madrid looked shaky in defence, and is a team that can receive plenty of goals if put under pressure. But they chickened out.

Not exactly, they gained the initiative but did fuck all in the final third, apart from that freak Benzema dribble which should've never happened if Atletico defenders knew how to defend.

I fully expect them to score 5 and still manage to give up a goal in the last minute. Very shitty defending for the Isco goal. They were so good at stopping dribbles, but their whole backline has gone down the drain since last season.

On a side note, it must be horrible to be an Atleti fan in Madrid. Imagine all the coworkers and colleagues that pick on you day to day.

Dont agree at all.

If they continued to press like that they would have been far too open on break.

Real upped their game and Atletico had to play a bit more conservatively as balance of tie changed.

Better chances than to park the bus and barely enter their 16m. box.

Juve will have to play like they did against us in Turin if they want to stand a chance against Real.

Real just have way too many clinical players to sit back and defend against.
