C'mon men ! We beat RM even without Neymar at Bernabeu. They aren't invincible. Well in august we have two
supercup matches against them+Miami's match on 30 july ! So 3 El Clasicos for about 20 days!

a classico friendly with probably half the starters not playing doesn't count, so 2 proper classico's

I think we should go back to the basics.. thinking about real madrid while planning means we are being reactive. Reactive decisions is poor management. When we assembled the best squad the world have ever seen there was nothing reactive about it, but rather active progressive planning. We betrayed this and football turned its back on us. We are doing things the real madrid way, we are trying to out-real them it's disgraceful to this team's traditions. Both the board and the overrated manager contributed to this.

We made the best team in the world because we were blessed with alien Messi plus 2 out of this world midfielders Xavi and Iniesta.
It is not as if we actually worked "hard".
We just won on a lottery.

Outside of that, during our 120 year history, over the other 110 years, we were usually the same as the current Barca.
So, 2009-2011 Barca was not a rule but an exception.
A current Barca is a classic Barca.

There is a reason why Real won 12 CL titles and Barca 5 titles.
Also, why we managed to win only 2, or even 1 title ever WITHOUT Messi in a team.
Barca's CL titles without a player named Messi in their team: 1
Real's CL titles without a player named Messi in their team: 12

We can love our club and everything, but in Barca's essence and history, we were always more of a sentimental club, driven by emotions and passion, than a cold-minded objective club who is making awesome cold and objective transfer and long term planning decisions.

We will never have calm long term planning like Germans (or even current Real).
Over 90% of our (at least recent history, like 20-30 years) we were always a chaotic club with 5-10 crazy transfers each season, buying 2-3-5 players for the same position, often overpaying for players, buying new players not out of neccessity but because we are driven by emotions (RM winning a title) etc.

That's our mentality and DNA, I guess.
Lots of emotions and passion, beautiful attacking and attractive football.
And more or less zero IQ, objectivity and longterm planning except during a short 5 year spell with Pep and Messi when we were winning more because of a pure out of this world quality than because of a smart long term planning.

At this point I wouldn't be singing anything. It loooks like Real Madrid will be winning all the trebles next 5-10 years.

Fucking jelly of their depth. We have no good depth and they can throw in Bale, Rodriguez.. Whoever. So sick of it. We can't even put in proper RB.

They can't maintain this depth forever... can they?

yes, we beat RM some weeks ago: it soulds then it's all right, we are good enough and we have been simply unlucky this season, for this reason we did not win the CL and Liga...
We have to stop thinking like that and be so romanticly naïve: we have finally to wake up and stop dreaming

The fact that we beat RM actually does bode well for us when it comes to the CL. If the RM side that won it with such ease lost to us... that means the competition is weak.

Problem is, we're not strong enough to take advantage of that. RM is. We can beat them in a one off when Messi is at his best but when we rely so much on a couple of players to be at their best... it's little wonder we're so inconsistent. Messi and Neymar fail to turn up, Barca fails to turn up because the only good outfield players left are Pique, Busquets and Umtiti and they can't exactly create/score goals. Our midfield is shit, our RBs are shit at least at RB, Alba isn't what he used to be and Suarez looks to be on the decline too, plus the lack of proper midfield service probably doesn't help him.

Unlucky? Beaten comprehensively 3-0 by Juve? Unlucky was us vs Chelsea
Don't even say we missed chances vs Juventus when Juventus themselves had another legit goal disallowed, and Higuain missed a one-on-one with Ter Stegen

That classico was a masterclass from Messi and Ter Stegen, both had their A game.
If you are going to count a masterclass from 2 players as an indicator of how good we are then................

It was a one off game where anything can happen..well messi's brillance but that game was still a game we could of lost. Real were better than us this season and thats why they won la liga and CL

It's the same what I thought with Barca and Spain around 2010. It will likely end the next 1-2 years. Some guy who was pretty unknown but rather smart once said that no succesful system in football, can stay for longer than 3-4 years without major changes. I am optimistic that teams are starting to adjust to Real. Better late than never.
