because Tottenham would get their asses beaten?

They're the most exciting team in the 3rd pot and they play attacking football. I think we would see two very entertaining matches.

Not a given that BVB would beat Spurs let alone thrash them. Would be very close.

Celtic defence is shit and they will take a few heavy beatings this year.

Celtic is absolutely terrible, no doubt, but I dont think Tottenham would be able to beat BVB. Of course it's Football and everything is possible, but last year showed that there are worlds between them tactically and even if the BVB squad looks different today, they're still probably the same calibre as City or Utd.

Last year Spurs had given up on Europa to concentrate on league though so quite unfair comparison.

Liverpool were poorer side and knocked BVB out.

Think it would be very close if they met.

Well Tottenham was playing Aston Villa the weekend after they were facing Dortmund. Liverpool pulled off a Liverpool, They're oddly unattached by logics, could probably beat Barcelona after previously loosing to Celtic. It's possible that Tottenham could match BVB, just not very likely and I wouldnt really count on it.

Spurs left out almost all of their main players away to Dortmund and the team they put out would be closer to fighting relegation from EPL than challenging for title.

Who they had in the next game doesnt matter.

I think it would be close and not saying Spurs would win just that the meeting in last years Europa isnt irrelevant.

We will probably get a difficult group again, even though we won CL. Obviously, its more important to win some second rate league(what a second rate league is can be argued) than to actually win the competition. This system is a joke.

Difficult group? I think last year was a wank and a half of a group, we started slow, but more serious rivals would've punished us then.

A difficult group can be a blessing in disguise, we might push a little, get warmed up, win the group anyway and lower the possibility of a tougher opponent in R2 which we can accuse, wasn't easy on us lately, at least since 2012.
Also, there aren't teams like Milan that have experience-to-get-past the group stage but aren't really a big deal, just old lads struggling with their last breaths, we saw how much we appreciated their presence in the UCL!

Easy(boring): Barca, Leverkusen, Sporting, Legia - 1st place & max points. - 18p
Medium: Barca, Napoli, PSV/Ajax(if they don't die in Russia today), Coppenhagen - 1st place and max points - 18p
Medium tougher: Barca, Porto, Spurs, Monaco - 1st place and maybe draw once or twice. - 14-15p
Hard: Barca, Arsity, Lyon, Gladbach - 1st place, maybe lose a game like in Paris 2 years ago, maybe a draw too, but easy 1st place. ~13-14p
