Pressing doesn't take talent mate.

Our midfielders are more talented than those guys but weren't performing anywhere near them.

Hence why EV and the rest of the clowns at this club should hang their heads in shame.

Talent? Liverpool are talented enough to compensate the difference vs better teams in this area through hard work and dedication. And then some. Who says talent is the no1 difference maker in a CL tie? It's not.

Can only pray to the Gods that Bayern get a good result at home tomorrow. Saw someone post their record at the Bernabau earlier today and that was depressing reading to say the least.

It's not only about the record of results at the Bernabeu. If they manage to play well, they will knock RM out. Madrid are not that good this season, they are looking shaky and it was proven against Juve and many more times in the league.

How can ya'll say we can't press?

We just pressed Sevilla to death over the weekend. We can't press parking the bus in our own half under the cowardly tactics EV implemented in Rome.

Whole different scenario when discussing pressing playing attacking football vs parking the bus.

Same thing that we should've gone to Rome taking it as if it was 0:0 is often repeated. It is true, of course. But when you draw argubly the easiest opponent, you can't help yourself (after that result). Many wanted to rotate etc. There's no point.

Fresh players can press.

We looked dead tired there. Physically and mentally.

We were not tired. I repeat we underestimated them as much as possible. If any of you ever played any sport you should know that after you enter the game like we did there is no coming back.

We looked tired physically and mentally, probably because we are playing in 3 god damn competition with the same top-11.. Too many games for same players. Players need rest as well, especially mental rest. Valverde overplayed this roster.

We can't press. Meaning we can't do it as a reliable tactic whenever we want. When you do something as a tactic it means you are in a state of mind and body that allows you to do it whenever the manager sees it fit. Our pressing atm is something that comes and goes depending on the whims and mood of the squad.

I think Valverde and most other managers we've had recently didn't really make the players commit to the tactics fully and unquestionably. Except rarely. This is the opposite of Pep and Klopp who really dictate the way the team behaves to finer details.

We looked like we went on sightseeing in Rome.
