Comical how Ronaldo gets a penalty and lucky deflection, and suddenly is the hero. If that was another player, having the season Ronaldo has, and the same qualities, he wouldn't be near the talk of a Ballon D'or against Messi. The only reason Ronaldo won it the past two years, is because of his name coupled with the CL and Euro wins (1 easy CL run, one lucky Euro and 1 good CL win). Somehow, I feel people still remember the old Cristiano, who could dribble and create danger alone, and then put that image of him together with the crucial goals he gets nowadays. Although in reality, he can't really dribble anymore, his passing is nothing to brag about, and all he's got left are goals. So if we put another name on his back, he wouldn't be in contention for a Ballon D'or. At all.
