Last season we were shit. No matter the draw it was hard to realistically dream of a CL trophy. Now when we play good football it would be good to get easier draw as well.

It's not only that.
The 'Upper' bracket has PSG, Brugges, most likely Madrid, and Juve
with the 'lower' having Benfica, Dortmund, Bayern, Feyenoord

It's night and day in terms of difficulty so far, even without knowing the seeded teams yet.

My gut tells me we are getting PSG and the difficult 'upper' bracket.
But I have a good feeling

as good as surprise-teams like Brugges are, they can transcend their level and eliminate better sides only a couple of times, they can't keep doing it every round

They also got rejected by about 5 managers before approaching Kompany. Basically just went for the gamble in the hope of unearthing the next managerial gem.

It looked like Kompany was trying to deploy a much more aggressive Press/Counter pressing team in the vein of what Flick's doing at the start of his Bayern reign. But the team was very shaky and you can see it when we beat them in the CL as both Kim and Upa were getting shredded consistently.

He toned down the aggressiveness and since then the team has been on slow decline. They have a good lead in the Bundesliga but in the CL they look pretty poor as of late and even in the league as well.
