This Inter team will always have a special place in my heart. Bunch of experienced underdogs with a do or die mentality. Most of them were underrated ageing players who hadn't achieved their full potential. The hunger and desire was crazy. The treble completed their story.
I loved players like Sylvester Stallone, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Samuel, Lucio, Chivu and Maicon.
What a team that was! Tough, cynical, smart, compact and ruthless.
The phrase "he's him" gets thrown around like confetti on Tiktok and Twitter these days but Prime Jose Mourinho was HIM. From Porto to Inter, it was the greatest peak a manager ever had. Absolute box office; charismatic and magnetic personality. Truly the Special One.

Probably my favourite non Liverpool squad/team alongside Klopp's Dortmund.

But yeah, they were a great team. Got lucky with decisions against Barca though (though all anyone remembers is the one Barca got with Busquets peeking). Sylvester Stallone gave me a chuckle about Milito.
I never got why people acted like their players were inferior when they faced Chelsea though - PL bias at the time I think. Look at some of the names you mention, and you can add more too. Yeah they hadn't all achieved their potential but boatloads of talent. Lots of those players were great yet people talked about them like they were average players playing above themselves for one good year. Was weird.
Maybe Jose's negative style made people think they were just a bunch of journeymen who could only defend.

Special shoutout to the legendary dumbfucks at Barca board level that gave Inter 60 mil and prime Eto'o for the bottler with the giant nose! Imagine being that dumb! One of the biggest transfer market Ls in Soccer history. 😭 😂

Not hindsight either as I laughed the day that happened.
Real Madrid aren't any better though, getting rid of Robben and Sneijder (though they didn't miss them in the end, but Barca went on to achieve a lot after that deal, too).

Yeppp sensational team with a sensational coach! Prime Mou was a ruthless beast!
Most Barca fans were peeved that despite Eto'o 09 season, that Pep couldn't put his dispute aside and put business first.
Irony come around fully when Ibra ended up being a bigger cunt for Pep than Eto'o, with Eto'o also trebbling.
Ended up alright though in the end atleast with the emergence of false 9 Messi.
But transfer wise, what a clanger of a Summer with that deal and the Chiggy deal.
