I had a thought when I watched Real Madrid - Arsenal and Arsenal was given penalty and then ref took extra care with making right choice as to give Madrid a penalty.

I dunno but I feel there might be some international refs kind negatively biased due to them putting pressure on refs in Spain and 1 match ban for Mbappe.

I think that worked against Real with this ref.

I feel many refs would still have given Real a penalty there maybe this one as well in different timeframe.
