16-1 corners
33 shots
9 on target
63%possession.

"Quality" always rises to the top someone said.

Real were way "better" than city over the two legs.....

Your answer is above
Plus the xG 2.59-1.43

City wins this game 9 out of 10 times
Another qualification you never deserved

This is football. Not always the team that dominates the game also wins it. Madrid defended very well. I counted only 3 big chances for City. The goal, the crossbar header by Haaland and the big De Bruyne miss.

A lot of stale possession and side passes with crosses that didn't bring much.

Helps to have a calm manager, it makes the team more calm too, Xavi would have lost his mind at the equalizer and thrown the team into chaos.

Grealish also brings things Doku doesn't. As a manager you want to have options, that's what a world class squad is about really.
Inteligent player but predictible for me.
Holy crap. How do these motherfuckers do this year after year. Hope Bayern destroy them.
Inteligent transfers from 2010 and a bit of influence, speculative tactics.
Guardiola had the money to take in great wingers from Brazil, but he went local at x4 the price. Interesting experiment though

"Real Madrid average defensive action was 35.4 meters from own goal. Teams that defended higher up the pitch at the Etihad this season: Newcastle, Copenhagen, Burnley, Brighton, Fulham, Arsenal, Forest, Y. Boys, Everton, Chelsea, Liverpool, Brentford, Red Star, B’mouth, and Villa"

Doku pass to foden. De Bruyne shot for almost open goal

They’re getting praises for parking the bus. I don’t get it…

EV was stone wall. You need that but you need players too. But anyway De Bruyne had the 2-1 and he failed, it's not like Real didn't collapse after Doku. They did, but they were spared.
