Champions League Final 2009: FC Barcelona vs ManUtd: Champions of Europe!

Valdés, Pinto, Puyol, Piqué, Botía, Muniesa, Cáceres, Sylvinho, Xavi, Touré, Busquets, Keita, Gudjohnsen, Iniesta, Messi, Eto'o, Bojan, Henry, Hleb, Pedro

The 20 man list...

Pep's masterstroke might be Muniesa playing at LB as he can play both LB and CB equally well... :p

if he had electric pace I'd actually think you had a point!

but he doesn't (as the red card on saturday showed) so it would be a mistake.

anyway european squads are 18, no? so expect to see one of botia and muniesa cut along with pedro. unless henry fails to make it.

If you look at the ground he made up though on Saturday I think you'd change your mind on his pace. He showed a lack of experience in lunging in but the fact he pulled himself into an area he could even make a challenge shows he has decent enough pace.

He'll probably get cut when the 18 gets announced but I think this shows how highly Pep rates the kid, and possibly a small consolation for his red card as he and his family get to travel to Rome...

without a doubt he has pace, but I mean the kind of electric pace that, say, kolo toure has. even puyol really (although he is starting to slow down). because that kind of breakneck speed would be very useful for defending against the likes of ronaldo and co.

but yeah it's just reward for his good season and tbh promising debut.

Another forum I read says something I agree with, its about wetting the kids appetite a bit. He goes to Rome, hangs around with his idols in the hotel, watches the game with the directors (or even sits on the bench). It might be not only a reward but Peps way of giving him motivation to continue his progress.

Yet when sven did that to theo walcott everyone crucified him!

And by the way its whet, not wet. Thats right!

Does anybody else think there is a chance for violence in Rome? Man Utd supporters and Roma supporters aren't in best the of terms actually. Does Barcelona have ultras too?

Definitely. I read an interview with an Ultra who said they will be out and about to cause trouble and stab lots of people in the bum. They're not football fans, football is secondary to them, they're just animals.

Keita hasnt played there all season has he? Why would pep start him there now.

Actually he did a few times. My feeling is that he will play there next to Busquets. Dont think Henry will start the match.

It would be a disgrace if something like that happened. People need to realize there are some things in life more important than football.
