At the end of the day, vs Liverpool we must remember the wise words of a great manager, who was also a shaman:

No nos vamos a cagar en los pantalones, no existe eso, nos gusta jugar estos partidos.

It's a rare occasion in the last 20 years where I have felt Barcelona were the underdog at Camp Nou but Wednesday night has that feel for me - reminds me a bit of the Bayern drubbing under Roura et al when the club was nursing so many injuries in '13 and psychological wounds with Tito et al

The reason I feel it this time is simply because the attack has failed to consistently be effective without Messi being the protagonist. No spinning will ever convince me Valverde has been the right choice for this club but it is what it is. Dembouz not quite hitting his pre-injury form only complicates that but we'll see

Also one of the biggest matches at Camp Nou I can recall in some time, glad I'll be there to hopefully witness not just a convincing victory but Messi magic

Last season's Liverpool would've been a pretty terrible match-up for Barcelona. Liverpool overall are a better team now than they were last season but funnily enough their current style suits Barca better.

I agree. They are not as high tempo team as they used to be. Look at their results away in CL, hardly impressive. They were owned in pretty much every away game in the group stage.

We can beat them, but we need to go all out win by few goals.

Aren't you a positive cunt. I'll stop watching football for the next 2 weeks since I already know the result

A realist , every time Levante done it they made that defence look like amateurs. Plus this manager is not smart enough to win this trophy.

We weren't that bad against Levante, they had one clear cut chance towards the end of the game and that was it. But for poor finishing, the score could have been 4-0.

Also, those concerned about Dembele must have missed his magic run last night when he beat 3 players to set up Messi's goal (even though it weren't a direct assist). Demba has that in his locker. Surprisingly, Coutinho played well last night too, not with his shooting but with his general passing and dribbling, was very encouraging. He seems to have his confidence back.

Still, EV is an idiot for not resting Suarez and a few of the other players. And I can't say I am not nervous about Liverpool, they are one of the strongest sides we have faced in years and are on course to finish the season with 97 points! What's encouraging is our defence is generally bang on form right now - Pique, Alba and Ter Stegen are on their game and we need that on Wednesday. It was a different case when Roma took us apart last year or when Bayern battered us back then.

Liverpool's away results against the top sides they faced this season:

1:2 vs. Man. City
2:1 vs. Tottenham
1:1 vs. Chelsea
1:1 vs. Arsenal
0:0 vs. United
0:1 vs. Napoli
0:2 vs. Red Star Belgrade :)pep:)
1:2 vs. PSG

BUT. They are going to 7up Barca, according to resident experts.

Okay.

Can't wait for the Henderson, Wijnaldum Leviosa, Milner domination.

Ursegor, but the 3-1 vs Bayern is missing. Isn't Bayern a top team still? They're better than 50% of the teams you listed at least.

We don't have to be afraid.
Tactics, shape,...ok, but in my opinion those matches...it's mental. It's in the head. Mental strenght.
Under pressure, some give their best, while others do not.

Would be too depressing to post here more regularly, mate.

40 % whining and bitching about lineups and rotations pre-match.
40 % whining and bitching after winning games.
18 % whining and bitching about Suarez, Coutinho, Dembélé and Rakitic.
2 % elite posts (mostly by me, followed by Devils).

And yes, I forgot Bayern.

A realist cunt then, a cunt nonetheless. I'm not a fan of Valverde or the current Barça style, but since we are on course to have the best season out of all clubs in Europe, why not get behind them and find some positives?! Just mopping around and acting like the end of the world is coming just doesn't help when we are 2-3 matches away from reaching footballing excellence.

Still, you could just ignore the crap and reply to the good posts.

The Bayern one was the only key away game they needed to win and they did just that. I find Liverpool to be a very very good side, even though I agree the whining is just way over the top.

The style of football under this clown of a manager is woeful and Messi has bailed him out all year. One of the main reasons we have won the league this year is because of how bad Madrid are .
Lay off with the big man patter keyboard warrior , you know you wouldnt have the bottle to say it to my face.
