People writing essays about how great Madrids veterans are and they should be down 4/5-1

The only vet that's good is Modric and Benz obviously, but the point is that they're actively trying to move on from their vets as they recognize they're past their best, or at least preparing to phase them out. We've not done so and might still not do so.

Next season Camavinga is most likely taking that spot from Kroos, they might play a double pivot with Camavinga/Valverde competing for one of the spots and Casemiro/Tchouameni the other. They signed Mendy to replace Marcelo. They've been linked to Pedro Porro to replace Carvajal. They signed Militao for 50m while still having Ramos and Varane.

They have been trying to acquire Haaland so they're ready to move on from Benzema even though he's still World Class.

Anything less than a 3 goal advantage going into Madrid is a colossal failure for City considering their total domination of this match.

Have to disagree with you here. It's not like this is the first time they're pulling out a win without being the dominant team.

They just know how to win and done it repeatedly over the last decade in CL.

In fact, I wish Barca learned how to win in CL when we're not the absolute favorites/absolutely dominant.

They got pummeled in every round this year, but somehow survuve  I agree it's impressive, but it's something truly supernatural... not quality.
