Totally. And sadly for Messi, it's a pretty important trait. It ties to leadership and mentality.

Nah, Messi is a born winner too, you don't put together a career like his without it. and But CR7 has definitely the greater motivation and drive.

This is my only critique against Messi of late (since 2015). Show extra effort in the CL KO games. You can't tell me this is the same CR7 effort from a sat night against genoa.

Problem for Atletico is that sitting back and absorbing pressure doesn't really work when you have a lethal striker like Ronaldo getting busy in the box with the volume of attacks Juventus are mounting.
