I thought you said that we're going to get knocked out tomorrow lol

with yesterdays's results FCB to win this easy. it's something i can't explain, i use synastry and testing it with matchs, and yesterday's matchs can proves that tonight barca can win easy. but if home teams did not do good yesterday my predictions would have remained. I bet everything on barcelona right after the matches yesterday.

Juventus completely dominated Atletico as a team mostly because they were well rested, playing at home, and motivated by a good coach. Individually, they have excellent players and they are a well oiled team with years of playing together, in particular their defense with Chiellini as strong leader.
As shown by match statistics, they did not allow a single Corner and a single shot on goal.
Atletico Madrid is known to be a feisty team, not easily intimidated, but they looked like boys playing men.
Why?
I have said it before and I really think that it matters how many days of rest a team gets before a big, highly intense, match. Juventus played on Friday and some key players (like Ronaldo) did not play at all. Atletico had a tough La Liga match on Saturday and had 2 days to recover + travel to Torino. They were sluggish and their key players (Godin, Koke, Griezmann) definitely played below their best level. Ronaldo had a good game, but the key to Juventus victory was a strong team effort. They won most 1-on-1 duels, they were able to outrun, outplay and outshoot Atletico by wide margins.
I think it is time to establish a level playing field for CL games.
If my hypothesis is correct, Liverpool will lose today to Bayern. LFC will play a well rested top home team after having played a tough Premier League game on Sunday.
As to Barça, our players were accused of not playing their hearts out in CL knockout games they lost, against PSG, Juventus, Roma, Atletico. Go back and check it out: Those were all away games after 2 days of rest.
Finally, Griezmann is an interesting test case:
When he won the WC with France, he did well, after 3 days of rest, playing a tired Croatian team that only was given 2 days.
Yesterday it was different, just the opposite.

Some of the reactions in this thread are extremely embarrassing. Worse than some of the worst teenage behavior out there and I can't imagine what outsiders must be thinking reading such posts. It really speaks badly about the quality of this forum. Either close this thread 2-3 hours after a game involving C. Ronaldo or ban those users that get tantrums for said duration of time.

Now C. Ronaldo, after an invisible first game, is the second coming of Jesus Christ, Atlético (the same team that outplayed Juventus in the first leg despite having a worse team player by player and much less tradition) are completely useless, Simeone included. No praise to Allegri (who won Juve their game) but that is expected as he was deemed a choker less than 3 weeks ago much like Simeone was hailed as the second coming of Buddha.

One would have thought that Juve won the CL yesterday or that C. Ronaldo scored 3 bicycle kicks and not 2 headers 5-10 meters away from goal and a penalty kick.

Anyway happy that Atlético are out as I don't like them (dislike Juve more though) but they are our bogey team (2014, 2016) and one of the very hardest teams to play against over 2 legs. Today's shitty performance (worst that I have seen today from them) won't change this. They would have been extremely motivated as well since the final will be played at the Wanda.

We will have a better chance against Juve and our players, Messi included, should be even more motivated to face a Juventus with a Ronaldo onboard. In head to head matches in the CL Messi have come at the top every single time expect for the CL semifinals in 2008 where he was 20. Barely losing it to a Scholes cracker due to a gift from Zambrotta. Would have no doubt that we would see another repeat of 2009 and 2011 should we draw Juventus or face them in the semifinals or final.

It's good Atletico are out, the team I feared the most, their playing style doesn't fit Juve at all, Valverde's playing style is much better suited for Juve.

What Juve should fear this year are high intensity teams, since their team is quite old. We under Valverde are not one of them. Teams who sit deep and play are easy pickings, since Juve has 2 bunker busters in the box.

You sure about that? You have failed to win against teams with better individual class and better technical abilities in both of your two recent CL final loses against the two Spanish giants. As well as being knocked out against a similar team in recent years in Bayern.
Atlético de Madrid are just another version of Juve with worse individual players and a lesser winner mentality due to competing with the two biggest clubs in the world and most successful ones in the best and most successful domestic league in Europe unlike Juve of late who is competing against the likes of Napoli domestically in comparison.

ALL while Atlético are much poorer than the two Spanish giants AND Juve, while the same Juventus is by far the richest team in Italy. No comparison really.

What are you talking about? Atletico is a very good match-up for Juventus style wise.

Juve is imo nothing special.
but this ATL was maybe the worst I saw in a knockout game ever. They didnt even fight as usually.

I hope that Barca, City or FC Bayern will face Juve

I tend to agree. Last night's game was by far the worst I have seen from Atleti in the Simeone era. Juventus were mediocre in the first leg against ATM, same as in the GS. I wouldn't mind facing them in the quarters. I am not saying they are not a good side, but they are not as good as City or Barca and Liverpool.

They are playing great football, including their kids, Foden and Zinchenko. Gundogan was great. And De Bruyne isn't even on the pitch.

Foden needs to get out .. he’ll never be a starter .KDB
David Silva , Bernardo Silva , Gundogan all in front of him and they’ll spend big this summer

Barca were never going to choke at home, especially not against farmers.
If they draw a good team, the away game might end them though.
