it's quite ironic that Valverde was fired after what perhaps was his best game, when Barça completely dominated and outplayed Atletico in Saudi Arabia. Messi was at his best and the score should have been 5:1, without VAR and Atleti luck. I have not seen Atleti so outplayed for a long tome. For some reason the score remained 2:1 and after 70 minutes Barça got tired and conceded 2 goals. A quite improbable result based on match statistics, and the final blow to Valverde.
