Could come in handy during matches. I`m not sure how to add it yet but let`s see how do people feel about it

No .. Now before people start biting my head off, I´ve got a few reasons .. Here´s a few just from the top of my head. For one, it´ll obviously take alot away from the forum, i.e people will just use the chat and the topics will be empty. Another reason is nothing will be saved, like maz mentioned earlier that sometimes you can´t be at the forum during the match, so you´d like to come back later and read people´s posts. Third reason is how can we have it just during the match, it´ll be wierd switching it on and off with people having conversations in it.

Anyways, even if we have it, it´s no issue for me. After all we´ll be going with the majority .. so whatever makes you guys happy ...

Just to mention something.. We have a shoutbox at FootyArts, and the way it is, is that people talk about stuff that doesn't necessarily(correct?) fit in any forum topic, so it's not like people will use that instead. Also, just having it on matchdays would be kind of stupid tbh. I'm guessing during the match is the time when most members aren't online, but are watching the game instead..?

Oh, and it doesn't take alot of space. I'll go take a screenshot to show what I mean! :p

Looks pretty neat. But like I already said, it'll take away alot from the forum. Let's wait and see what everyone thinks about this.

Im 110% with evil. Even the second paragraph.

I understand why people want it, and in theory its a great idea. I mean..its just like a massive msn conversation. But even if its only open for match times its still taking away, lets say, 5 posts from 15 people. Thats a solid 75 posts gone already. And then imagine someone new coming here and seeing 5 posts in the match topic and thinking..hmm i wont sign up. Just because they didnt see the chat box.

If it could be implemented in such a way (i highly doubt this is possible) that when its closed, all the messages get put as posts in the match topic then i could see it working somewhat. But that would probably take a hell of a lot of work to figure out a code.

We have match topic during the game. And we have pub for unnecessary stuff that doesn`t fit in any other topic.

One could save the chat and post that afterwards as a topic. 1 message (chat logging: user: message ).
Afterwards moderation on it could be done to sort out shit chat.
Afterwards other people can quote pieces of the chat in that topic and respond to it.
If you convert every users sentences on the fly while chatting ...alot of stupid posts like smileys etc.
And one thing that is negative about match chat in the forum itself is that you dont have an overview + you have to click dozens of times.
