Mourinho is under pressure to play better football that is for sure. Which will be great, because he's not really used to coaching that style. Which means there will be games where Chelsea will lose because the players won't be as organised as they normally would be.
They play 38 games like everyone else. How consistent they are over that 38 games will determine how far they will go.
They can buy 3 whole teams worth of superstars if they want. They can only play 11 at a time though.

It's been a while since you fought for several trophies you forgot what makes a winning team ... even you are discussing 38 games forgetting it's much more than that
I loath the day we lost Jese because if he was fit we could have went a little further in the liga (not complaining La Decima is all i ever wanted since 2002 ) but if we have someone who can rest CR & Bale when needed we could have ended up with all the trophies
You can play only 11 players but if you are fighting on multiple fronts you need a strong bench or unbelievable amount of luck to avoid injuries
see when CR was suspended .. Jese stepped up & took Atletico in the Copa semi-final that's why the bench is important

true that. No matter how good Chelsea look on paper it's almost a given they'll be all over each other in 2-3 seasons.

Bench is important but you can only bring on 3 players.
Just don't see where he will be played really. I can see he is Lampards replacement but not sure where he fits in in that team.

Abramovich brought Mou back under the condition that he play free flowing offensive football. Mou agreed and once the contract was signed, did what he was comfortable with anyway. They had a multitude of inherently offensive players last season and parked the bus so it's hard to imagine they will be less defensive just because they bought more offensive players for the upcoming season.
