Well, i might an atypical Barca fan but i care about titles the most. Playing great and losing is not my cup of tea. Drawing Real Madrid, even in their current form is not the most efficient way to win the CL again. The matches against Real are never simply about football, they add a certain levity, pressure and history, which makes them a lot more intense than a match-up against a Wolfsburg or even PSG.

Don't get me wrong, i have nothing against wishing to play any team. But for once, it wouldn't be too terrible if we didn't need to overcome the champions of England, France, Germany and Italy in a row.

Think about how epic it would be to end their season thouh and finish them off in a week.
Look at the Real forums, they want to avoid us more than anything. There is a certain prestige to beating them soundly as well and would add greatly to a cl winning campaign as it did on 2011.
To me I prefer Wolfsburg/Benfica as well but after that its Real followed by City way before Psg/Atletico/Bayern(Juve).

You shouldn't wish us to be and act like rm fans.
Barca fans usually wish to see football at it's best and what econcounter would be more entertaining and not too difficult than an El Clasico encounter in the Champions League in this round ?

Except our players aren't machines and we are still in 3 competitions while Real Madrid are effectively only in 1.

An easy draw is like Wolfsburg or Benefica would not only benefit our hopes in the CL but they would also benefit our players in the other competitions in this extremely busy and important part of the season.

If we draw Real Madrid our schedule in the next few weeks would look like...

Villareal (A)
Real Madrid (H)
Real Madrid (CL)
Real Sociedad (A)
Real Madrid (CL)
Valencia (H)

No one could logically want this run of games, it's crazy.

And Real Madrid aren't pushovers, we will probably roll them over in the league Clasico, but given that the CL is the only competition they have left to win, they will be very motivated, especially against us.

Yeah, I don't want rm either. It'd be really tiring, and a clasico is unpredictable. Wolfsburg or Benfica please, assuming we finish arsenal off wednesday.

Barçapocalypse NOW!
I agree... If we are aiming for another treble we must reduce the amount of hard games to a minimum, especially so eraly in the title race... Not because I fear any team in particular, but because we need to be as fresh as possible when the hard games eventually come...

It seems like forever since we had an easy draw in the champions league knockout stages. I know last year we had the hardest draw imaginable playing the champions of all the top leagues.

I just dont want to get bayern.
Imo if all players of them are fit, they give us a very hard go, especially with their fast and dribbling wingers robben and costa and that cunt müller.

dream draw:

barca-wolfsburg
bayern-real
atl-psg
city-benfica

I don't like speaking before the first step ( Arsenal) is over, I would just like to avoid Bayern at the moment. I would love to see the following draw :

Psg-Atletico
Bayern-Real Madrid
Fc Barcelona-Wolfsburg
Man City - Benfica

It is very naive to imagine Barca would draw Wolfsburg or Benfica if not rm :)
If it is not rm for Barca they'll almost surely face one of Wolfsburg or Benfica like they always did in the previous 3 or 4 previous seasons in a row when almost every time they've got their first true opponent and bascically started their competition in the semis...

That is why I'm saying, instead of them facing yet again the weakest of the remaining teams while us, most likely, one of the strongest out there it would be much better to play them in the following round. Yes it would be difficult even against this rm but surely a tie vs. Bayern, PSG or Atletico isn't easier either in most cases...

I sincerely doubt we can draw an easy team atm.

stop with that conspiracy theories, if barca go through tommorow, they can play benfica, wolfsburg or bayern, real... its 50%-50%, same with bayern, real, psg, atletico, you just need to have a bit of luck to draw easier opponent

I actually don't want Real now that I think of it. But Real would be a better draw than getting Bayern though.

It does feel like Real has had very easy draws the last 5 years, especially compared to ours. But its just luck, no conspiracy
