Even RM have 4 SF losses and 4 SF wins in their 8 trips.
There's rarely a more than 50% W rate at QFs or beyond. Too many factors involved unless you're the out and out best like we were some years. Even then...Chelsea.
He had a tactical thought behind every lineup. Setien just fields whomever has the most seniority.

They had a habit of losing vs the first great team they faced back then.

Clearly not good, considering we don't make many finals.
But the one thing I love about Barca is when we do make CL finals we win them. 5-1 in CL finals since Cruyff.
Only RM is better at 7-0 lol.
Milan is 3-3.
Juve 1-5.
Bayern 2-3.
United 2-2.
Pool 2-2.
Considering how much our fans whine about CL exits, we should count ourselves lucky most of us have not tasted what losing a CL final is like.

This was the worst part of today's game. We were playing horrible second half and this clown makes no subs until 82 min! I really hoped to see Fati and Puig in the second half but apparently horrible Suarez and Raki deserved to play 90 min.

A subpar performance aided by a team who's clearly out of place at this stage of the competition (and I'm not talking about us).
Team selection
Player Performances
Rakitic was absolutely dire the entire match and offered absolutely nothing except opportunities to the opposing teams.
Roberto was average on all levels. Probably needed in the team with rakitic suarez and Messi on the field at the same time.
Fdj man of the match for me. Like Messi made the difference tonight and has clearly been under utilised by us. Had an amazing assist chalked off because of the handball call.
Saurez did absolutely nothing all game except connecting 1-2 passes and scoring a penalty.
Messi was up for it started brightly but faded a it after the penalty incident.
Griezman absolutely useless. Couldn't control a ball. Made some terrible decisions and constantly passed backwards for a majority of the game. Similar to Roberto might of been needed due to the defensive contribution.
Alba seemed like he was cracking under pressure and similar to pique was caught out of position multiple times due to his poor positioning. He also shyed away from making progressive passes on ocassion and instead adopted the rakitic model of "distrilubiting" the ball.
Semedo was mediocre sprinked in with some brilliant runs. Didn't have the support from the attacking trio when breaking and when there were options misplaced the pass or chose the wrong decision.
Pique seemed like his mind was elsewhere caught out of position multiple times due to some poor positioning, the effort just wasn't there for me.
Lenglet absolute rock at the back today, one of our best players tonight. Made up multiple times for piques carelessness.
Mats did what was needed from him distribution was decent tonight.

Griez - Suarez - Messi just doesn't offer the penetration or counter attacking threat that other combinations might offer; There's no width, no runs etc.
Rakitic, not much needs to be said one of the worst players on the pitch who somehow lasted the 90mins. A selection of fdj puig and Roberto would of Made more sense to me as it offers us more. Control and energy while also Being able play around any press/opponent pressure.
Qq useless. Made. Subs last second shoukd. Of been more. Proactive. Hands may have been tied due to previous issues.
Will. Finish off here as brain functions seems to be rapidly decreasing.
