Barca have been shit in the business end for the past 3 seasons with or without Cesc.

3 seasons you say, the same amount of time Cesc was here that coincided with the club's dwindling trophies

But I've realized by now that scapegoating players for the team's abject failures is your express form of denial.

Poor reasoning nevermind illogical conclusion on your part to claim I've singled out Cesc as the reason for past failures or that it somehow represents some form of denial - the rent boy was merely one of the issues...Moreover, the implication is that there is no merit to singling out Cesc - a player who Pep himself wasn't playing late in the season nor his former youth coach in Tito much less a club outsider like Tata.

As for where blame principally lies in how the club has pulled a 180, look no further than Rosell/Bartomeu

It's only an illogical conclusion if it were based on just this one post of yours. There's nothing explicitly objectionable about your comment on this thread but I've formed my opinion on this matter after a year or two of reading your comments re: Cesc.

Of course, Cesc as a signing was definitely below-par keeping general expectations in mind, but the truth is Barca have lost clutch games where Cesc had no role. League deciding home loss to Madrid in 11/12, first leg hammering by Bayern and a couple of sub appearance losses too. In addition, losses like the Chelsea debacle can be almost completely attributed to other players (Messi who missed 3-4 clear chances) while Cesc created multiple opportunities for the team including the penalty which Messi missed. The league win and subsequent 100 points in 12/13 was basically a result of an insane first half of the season from Barca (55/57 points) where the 3 main players were Messi, Iniesta and Cesc.

I fear a big mistake of Mats , after not playing for a quite a while he'll have to be the goalkeeper against Man City.
And lets no forget a completely new line up and formation against them.

He will play against either RM or A.Madrid this month if we beat Elche

City played terribly bad against Arsenal yesterday. They look lost and disoriented especially without Toure. I'm confident we'll knock them out easier than last year:barca scarf:
