I wonder what tactic Lucho will use away against City. Will we play an "open" game like we did against Bilbao or Atletico, or will we try to keep more possession and play it safe away from home?
A part of me actually hope we do what he did at the San Mamés and Calderón - surprise them by letting them have some of the ball and invite them forward with a more open game, and just crush them on the counter and let NSM run rampant in whatever space they give. It's higher risk, but the chance of a BIG victory also increases.
As has been stated, Pellegrinis job is likely on the line, and City will probably look to start the game with a bang and press high. Much like Atletico and Bilbao did. This leads me to think that it would be a mistake to try and absord this pressure by calming the game down. Meet their intensity, counter and use the space they give, score goals and then aim to control the game after the tie is effectively over.
