Guess that means Dembele will definitely start, expecting the same lineup vs Chelsea at Camp Nou.

Probably. Dembele is the only player who's natural position is on the far right side of the midfield, and his play recently has been improving. I still don't think he has played well enough yet to have earned a regular spot in the first 11, but I'm looking forward to seeing further improvements any time now.

Since Roma will probably sit deep I wonder how much impact will Dembele make. Maybe start Paulinho and then get Dembele in 2nd half.

Considering that they are playing 4-3-3 with a considerably weaker midfield (Nainggolan out), he should be able to exploit the spaces quite well. Play the same 11 as Chelsea and crush them.

The only concern I have is defending set pieces.

They have players like Dzeko, Fazio and Strootman that can cause problems for us in the air.

Mats will have to be very strong in commanding his area and dealing with balls coming into the box.

Other than that, I think we should be fine. Thank God that prick Naingoolan isn’t fit. I remember what he did to Rafinha the last time we played them.

Won’t be surprised if ‘targeting’ Messi is part of their overall plan to stop him.

Targeting Messi is every teams plan. You take out Messi and we have nothing left.

Hopefully we see Messi more on the right in this game. Targeting players on that side like Kolarov and Fazio who lack pace.

Dembele isnt about impact, it's about width and transitioning. Also, what kind of impact can Paulinho make evidently he was terrible out wide against deep sitting Chelsea and was terrible against Sevilla. Roma still has an attacking mentality and that's how they destroyed Chelsea.

It's always all eyes on Dembele but people forget against Sevilla that was no midfield control due to Paulinho. Tired Iniesta and Coutinho were playing together when they shouldnt be.

Roma is actually terrible in counter and decent in defending. If we can suffocate them deep in their box with control, they would find it hard to attack. However, if we decide to switch our mentality and sit deep in our box, Roma will exploit us with their crosses and long balls. Pique and Umtiti will need to be in tip top condition which Pique isnt.

Its high time we start performing like a team that is more than just messi.

A 1 goal margin victory isn't what I want. We need to absolutely end the tie in the first leg.

Would love to have 2-0 or 3-0 in the first 20 min so I can switch to watching liverpool vs manc.
