This time the game is on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. Hopefully the extra rest and preparation pays off and we can turn the page on this difficult run of form.

If we dig deep and keep our heads, we control the tie and they have to attack us. Particularly if we can hit them with an early counter, that alone can win the tie for us.

I just hope, like last season, Anoeta is the wake up call that gets us firing on all cylinders again.

We all know there's been a lot of shit about us after the first leg...

I found a video including decisions that went against us and the fouls from Atleti side.

Things media haven't talked about much unfortunaly...

Edit: I decided to edited the clip because it was unsynced.

Wow Torres made so many tackles in this game. Crazy. Deserved red card for sure. He should have turned it down.. He was playing on edge the whole time.

General peopley want Atletico to go through in this series?! It's crazy.. While I dont hate Atletico, but it's true they play like dirtbags. They play defensive and agressive football. Nothing beautiful about it. Lucas should have been sent off after that HORRIBLE tackle on Neymar. I think it's mostly Barca-hate though. People want to see Barca fail, because they've been really good last few years.

Tbf than in hockey you get to rest a lot. I know it tires you because the game is mostly about speed and it wears you out but you do have the chance to sub players all the time.

But I agree. Don't give a damn about the names. This is their job and if they don't spit blood after one of the most imoortand games of the season than they're not doing it well enough.

Club should start giving contracts based on performances.

He is exhausted, doesnt have the stamina for rw so goes center to be involved much with little energy.
At this point we might be better if subbing Messi in after 60 minutes to win us the match. Its better than him playing like ghe last 4/5 games.

Subbing with who? Munir? Or Adriano?

The trainers' press conferences will be key in my opinion to try to determine the state of mind of both teams.

State of mind :

Atletico : not ideal, but given how they robbed us in the 1st leg, we will have our 1 goal and revenge, hoping they succumb to our early pressure

Barca: we will try to win, we will fight and give it all, we will play our game ( actually, get in the pitch, play a horrid 1 st half and hope it's not to late to turn things around while having every cule in max frustration)...and hopefully we'll get that draw that will qualify us

I want us to give our best. If we go out, we go out. When you play 7-8 times in a row the best opponents you can face, going out is a possibility you have to accept.

This is Atletico Madrid, one of the best 3 teams in the world at the minute.

I thought for a moment that we were the ones that have to turn a 0-2 loss after reading this and Real's thread. :coffee:

It's all on tonight, if real fails we're 100% qualified. If they luck their way into the semis, we are doomed for tomorrow.

I said it!
