Barca got away with alot of yellows, especially the one from Lenglet and various deliberate pulls.

It isn't about the results honestly. Except such is the scene you would see often during knockout stages and various La Liga games away from home. Obviously we can chill now, but the same problems would be brought on to the knockout stages.

Liverpool just won the CL so they probably wouldn't be their best since they dont have that desire anymore. But they will probably find a way to top the table again.

The penalty was non-existent, the Dortmund player made a meal out of the slightest contact and the ref bought it.

Also, it's totally news to me that the defending champions are supposed to lose their first game. Thanks for telling me though.

So Ter Stegen saved it so what's the fuss about? I don't care if it's a loss or not, but not by playing the same pathetic way we did like those humiliating losses.

The CL is not won in the group stages anyway. Our midfield was the biggest weakness in recent years, but we have no excuses there anymore. We will see how everything falls into place in later stages, impossible to predict. Busquets and Suarez are the biggest question marks for me.

Wasnt a terrible performance bar the lack of chances created. Dortmund are going to create chances against any team at home and they really only had 2 clear ones tonight

A big issue for me is the lack of work rate from 2/3 of our frontline. Messi and Suarez don't even bother tracking back. Can handle of 1 does it, but both can not be walking around doing nothing.

The first point of defence is the frontline and them not doing much puts the rest of team under pressure.

That's the issue I've been dwelling on for a bit, and it's true. Messi is fine but it seems Luis is no longer able to run much off the ball.

Fati and Perez worked hard off the ball these first few games and it helped our midfield big time.

Not that bad a game from us though.

Good take away from this match is that i think Dejong and Arthur really bossed the mid for most of the time. It could easily be another 0:4, if we had granpas on the field instead of them. Both were also exceptional defensively, especially Dejong. Obviously, with continuing shit non-tactics by Retardo, we once again had zero penetration, because for some reason everybody must stand their ground and not move, while we're in possession. It's obviously deliberate "style" for Valturd and it wont change. Only sacking this piece of shit will drastically change anything in this respect.

Another horror performance , against a better side tonight that would have been another 4-0 drubbing. Midfield create absolutely nothing and Griezman is like playing with a man down , just like Suarez.
Not a chance we are doing anything in this competition.

Important to note about Griezmann though, only if/when he plays LW, whose idea is to put him there is beyond me. His Sociedad days are long over, so these days he really is just another passenger at LW. Another mistery Valverde shithousery i guess. Why not play him RW, at least until Messi is on, especially with Fati also better on LW!? As for Griezmann, he can't be worse anywhere else than on LW. He moved a little to the right one time tonight and we became instantly dangerous with that passing play between Griezmann, Suarez and Fati, but then he moved back to the left again and became invisible.

It's gonna be a whole other level of painful this season, watching EV instantly demote Fati to the B team, once Dembele is also back, but only to bench him as well, and then forcing the GSM trio every game, when it's absolutely clear that they can't play together, at least not in a 4-3-3. We might as well give up on width all together then, put Messi on CAM and go to 4-3-1-2 then, would spare us seeing Griezmann being so out of place on that left side.

I mean how hard is it to figure it out: Dembele/Fati - Griezmann/Suarez - Messi/Perez ???

Jesus, that was a shitty borefest. Valverde even managed to jinx one of the most watchable teams right now in Dortmund to the point that they missed literally everything tonight. Otherwise, it would've been Rome and Anfield all over again. That Paco chance, which he skied it, and the penalty, and it would've been two already, then we would've conceded one or two more for sure.

I literally fell asleep twice during the game, first around the 40th minute, the commentator woke me up for the penalty, then I tried to stay awake, managed to do it for only about ten minutes, I dozed off again just as the last quarter of the game started and didn't wake up until it was all over.

It's just sad at this point, I really don't care for watching our games live anymore. I wanted to and i did make an exception tonight, as it was promising to be such a tasty game, I was looking forward more to Dortmund than to us actually, I would've taken a big loss even, at least I would've enjoyed some great gameplay (how I wish we played) and some goals then, plus EV would be under more pressure too, but sadly his black magic strikes and he got away with it again.
