Impossible to win every game. The team played really well and the reason we did not win the game was mediocre finishing and a freak goal. Let's keep winning in La Liga and collect the first 3 CL points next time.

Overall a subpar performance but we're still in mid September and not even full strength yet...Even Leo was not sharp in areas of his game which was something we saw from several key players - Rakitic, Neymar, Suarez & Roberto in particular...Still, despite the recurring theme of not awarding penalties to Barcelona and a wonder goal from Roma, it was not a terrible result...The kicker clearly is losing Rafinha, I really had been waiting for him to come on & provide a spark in the middle

Had Alba immediately delivered/headed that late ball to Suarez rather than try to settle it first, likely 3 pts - just a theme on the night, a lot of failed execution from players who typically deliver

We are having a slow start to the season. All these narrow wins and now can't beat a team that has been a punching bag in the CL each season. Hope the team Up their game.

I couldnt agree more. How many penalties we have missed in the first couple games in La Liga and UCL?! It's getting pretty crazy! All while Ronaldo scoring 2 PGs per game.

On the flip side, apart from the horror challenge from that lunatic Nainggolan some terrific performances from several Roma players

Salah was a problem all night which highlighted how inept Mou is with attacking players

Digne, De Rossi, Florenzi & Rüdiger were also outstanding - had never heard of the German but he repeatedly thwarted attacks in his vicinity

Take me for crazy, but I believe the kits we play with can also psychologically influence the players. As far as I can remember, we haven't delivered top notch performances with our orange kits in the 2012/2013-2013/2014 seasons.

I really like the new blue kit , I hope we'll play with it more often and get accustomed to it.

On pure footbalistic terms, I think Rakitic, Messi and , to a lesser extent, Suarez made some mistakes with their movements. I often noticed that when Messi went on the centre of the pitch, we had to suffer from Roma's counter-attacks on our right corridor. Suarez should occupy more the right wing when Messi goes at the centre of the pitch.

Rakitic needs to understand he still hasn't got the technical skills of a Xavi or Iniesta. I would like to see the Rakitic of last season : vertical runs, shifting to the right side in order to create space for Messi ( who wasn't there yesterday unfortunately), defensive coverage, physicality etc...

Rakitic and Messi seemed to be tired to be honest. As solid as Roberto is, he cannot bring what Alves brings offensively. With Rakitic not having it and Messi doing some unnecessary moves to the middle, we had to pay the price for it I believe.

Iniesta, Busquets and Mathieu, on the contrary, were quite solid.
