Yes, we are not there yet, but the improvement from last season is massive. Also, one could say Real Madrid isn't at that level too, but they keep winning the damn thing.

A game against Real away at the Bernabeu in LaLiga is one of the biggest games we'll play outside of direct trophy winning games.
He also was great against Real in the Super Cup.
With little more adjustments here and there in a year or so we will be contender.
Something important here to mention. Xavi got all the help he needed from the board members, and they bring in the players he wanted. Among all 8 new players, only Lewandowski and Kounde have the quality needed for starter. Kessie, Christensen and Alonso are SRP (Serviceable Rotation Player) and the other 3 just don't fit well in Xavi's system. Next time, he needs to make some better research before choosing any new players.
