The win with Bayern could be critical ☝️ in terms of transitioning from the status of hype to the real thing. A defining moment, if you will.

When Flick took over Bayern, they also had one in Champions League 19/20; away game with Tottenham in a group stage, the CL finalist at the time, when they demolished them 2-7. From then on, that Flick's team went on to win treble. Lewa beat Gerd Muller's Bundesliga record...almost won the Golden boot. These parallels instill hope in me...😃

Wrong. The Tottenham match was first of October. Hansi took over at the begin of November.

But Hansi's second match - after winning against Olympiacos with 2:0 was a 4:0 against Dortmund.

When it was still group stage Bayern has not lost a group match since Ancelotti's last match in 2017 against PSG with only 3 draws. I do not mind if we lose tomorrow as I think we will qualify for the final stage anyway - even if with additionally 2 matches - I do not care. I do prefer to have some problems in autumn and to have a very good spring. When we performed on a high in autumn it never ran absolutely well in spring.

The plan of Kompany and that it works and that the players like it you already see. If some results aren't like we want it does not matter if they do not throw us out of a competition. If we have to lose one match I prefer to lose today but win the cup match next week.

Nonesense. A game this early in the season just shows the direction, but is far from breaking or making anything.
Nah it’s important for motivation with Classico right around the corner right after Madrid winning 5-2 being behind 2 goals

Champions League curse. I will be NTC here.

We have met them 13 times since 1998. We have only Won 2 times. And drawn 1.
Since the last time we won, the 2014-2015 first leg:-

We have played them 6 times.
0 Win. 5 Scored - 22 Conceded.

The odds are heavily stacked against us. They seem to be our Kryptonite.
And honestly, if we can't win yesterday, with such a great start and such a good team, I don't know when we can.

WOW
Amazing stat!

So our only 2 wins against Bayern in the CL era have been the emphatic 4-0 under Pep in 2009, and the 3-0 under Lucho in 2015?
In other words, the two times we had superteams?

Actually the above is the whole Barca Bayern history since the founding of both clubs.
It all started late (1996)

only 2 wins and 2 draws in 15 meetings....

PS: My respect twds Flick will grow immensely if he managed to W tonight

As for a stupid red card or penalty, I only fear Cubarsi a bit. He often defends at the limit and against Kane, he could overdo it in the wrong moment. Against Sevilla he also gifted them a penalty if it weren't offside before.
