I know a guy, who is crying in front of the TV tonight, because he missed his only chance to come to barca. His name rhymes with Schmico.

A great first half that I thoroughly enjoyed. Both teams played their part but Barca deservedly lead. The kamikaze high line of Barca is worrying me a bit but on most occasions it's been dealt with well.

Four very nice goals in the game so far.

I am sure most of what I have to say about the game in terms of tactics and passages of play has been covered. However, what I really wanted to mention was Lewa's goal - it would have been a fucking joke if they had disallowed that. Thankfully there wasn't much of a look at it, but I had a terrible feeling for a moment they might go to VAR and disallow it (which highlights one of the weaknesses of VAR). If a goal like that had been chalked off it would prove to me finally that football is a non-contact sport - Fermin barely even touches Kim in the back, and the South Korean is a big, strong unit. Laughable that Bayern were moaning over that. Thankfully it was paid no mind.

Most Barca players have been excellent. Lamine has had some lovely touches, dribbles and passes. Raphinha was worked really hard and showed quality in the final third. Casado and Pedri have did a lot of hard work and been excellent in tight space. Been impressed with Kounde and Fermin too. Lewandowski has generally held the ball up well and got his goal. Overall though I wouldn't really single any of them out as they have all played well and it's been a great team effort so far.

Just gotta keep going in the second half - don't get complacent and don't give them any encouragement early or allow them to get one back.

I love love love that Hansi forces the game to be high pressure high tempo. It doesn't allow teams to ramp up as the game goes on. They are playing max out early which kills them in the 2nd half.

Let's see if that holds true here soon.

Bayern just gave away their stamina in the first 20 minutes and we had the half after that.
But they ran less than us in that half. They were just awful at taking advantage of all that space. Like they didn’t know what to do with it all. I’m happy with the result so far, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t like the idea of this approach away against one of fastest and best counter-attacking teams in history this coming weekend. Hope Flick has a plan, and isn’t as stubborn as the likes of Xavi, Lucho etc.

Bayern will come out in rage now, Barca needs to fight this until their stamina is low again around min 65-70.
There will come a super intense period of idk 5-10-15 minutes where we will suffer a lot. Important to not concede and if we are lucky we can even create a dangerous counter from it.

Damn, i don't care that we can concede any minute, when we can also score any minute with unlikely shit like Casado being the main press resistant mid guy to overcome the press and then give genius diagonal assist to Raphu, who scores perfect top spot curler between the legs afterwards, while 17 year old toddler toying with Bayern high press and creating counter pressure all by himself like it's nothing. Good vibes, no matter what the end score is.
Flicks football might not elevate us on the very top this season, but it's definitely making good vibrations all around.
