People here saying what do you expect Xavi to do with Ferran Lewa and Raphinha... those 3 cost 170m, from the club's coffers.

Could have bought a top top player with that money.

Easier said than done.

why do you think top teams spend 200m every summer these days?

It's true that signings haven't been great for money spent. But that's the norm in all teams almost. The difference is Barca can't keep spending like EPL teams, PSG etc.

Easier done if you don't have Xavi acting as an old-fashioned super-manager playing to be the SD at the same time like Ferguson or Wenger in the 90s

Another consequence of hiring your terrorist coach

Don't think that's true. It's just inflation. You pay a lot more for players that bring no sure results. So you need to spend and spend and spend until you eventually get signings right.

60m players these days used to cost 20m 10 years ago.

BTW, what did Fermin do, so he doesn't play? Fights too much for the jersey? Is positionally too good for this bunch of stinkers?

Raphina, Torres and Lewy are exactly the quality you expect for 50m. It's not like you can get someone like Villa for 40m anymore. Gambling on young talents is much more fun these days.
