Europa league KO is yet to come in March
Poor squad planning that harkens back to the late 90's early/2000's era (though not as bad). Barca really needed to be smart and shrewd with signings that had potential to grow into lethal players (and the increase of value to along with it).
But no, they went after guys like raph who were never star level players or young enough to grow into one.
The club really needs to go back to getting the best young talent. But that requires smart people in the sporting side..

Barca have some of the best young talent out of any team in Europe.
The problem is the team plays like donkeys, fossil football tactics, zero ability to defend or break down teams.

Times have changed.
20 years ago only Barca, Real, Ajax, Milan, Inter were looking for young new gems.
Today it's Red Bull, Psg, Real, EPL.
Everyone are richer than us.
In the past we needed to beat only Real for the next big thing from Brazil.
Today we have to beat Real, Psg, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Bayern, Dortmund, Red Bull.

True. It seems like we gave it all on the first half of the Bayern game and then gave up.

Who is a star-level of talent in the attacking line?
We only have midfield potentials.
Yet, Pedri, Gavi and co surely wouldn't be good enough for Real, Bayern or City.

Sad to say, but all those signings we made will cause us to regress even further. No point in paying so much for mediocre players.
We got guys like Alonso, Bellerin, Ferran, Raphinha, Kessie who are decent for a EL or CL group stage level team but should never be near Camp Nou.
Just wasted money down the drain that will come to bite us.
LDJ and Auba were really the only signings with at least some sense behind them, even if not top players.
Our best players are around 20 and too young to carry this trash team. May never be good enough, but at least we didn't splash millions to get them.
That should be the way. It's going to be a long way now, assuming we ever make it out of this whole, Barto and Laporta made for us.
We would be better off both sporting wise and financially, just by throwing out all the veterans, keeping Messi and playing fucking youngsters around him.

Pedri and Gavi always start for Spain. Rodri not so much.
Pedri and Gavi are top level players for sure.
