If you look closely to the pattern of the game and the chances,
what stands out is that we were unable to penetrate them despite dominating possession and being the better side after min. 20 in the game.
The xG shot map says it all:
Getting close and round their box but unable to take shots from there that are good chances or penetrate them to finish from closer to the goal.
I think it should be clear by now to everyone what (Messi issues aside) Dembele and Ansu provide to this side.
As for Juve, please spare me all the nonsense about dominating.
They had better mentality for sure, while we entered the game as if it was a friendly not realizing we could lose something tonight (Koeman highlighted that)
But other than that, they created only one significant chance in the game which ended in a goal (Mc Kennie), and then got some non-existent penalties.
Hope they get thrashed in the R16 by a Lyon-level side like last season.
