Ronald Koeman: "Umtiti and Lenglet are ready, it is true that they make some individual mistakes, but this is part of football. I have no doubt about the players. They know how to defend against a team like Paris."

Famous last words

What else can he say really.. they are the only two CBs available and Mingueza will most likely play RB and sit in.

We should stay deep as our defender are much slower than Mbappe. We shouldnt make the same mistake as argentinia in WC 2018.

Stay deep and dont get players around Messi at other end. Sat deep v Juventus at home in CL and against Bayern and both games went same way.

The defence is not good enough to defend the penalty box and doesnt suit forwards to hit on break.

Need to take risks, play higher line and give Messi best chance to win the game.

it would be embarassing for the club if we lose to this PSG side at the camp nou. they have so many average players. our squad on paper is better than theirs.

the only thing we should be worried about is our CBs fucking up again

You can have a good game with quality chances and still lose 2-0. All it takes is a few fuck-ups in defense and an opposing GK with a very good day like seen against Sevilla. Of course, the injuries of Neymar and Di Maria are an advantage, but PSG still has some players who can hurt Barca. Also, I can imagine Navas having one of those days where he is stopping every ball coming his way. All in all I rate Sevilla higher as A TEAM atm, but winning against PSG without Neymar and Di Maria is not a no-brainer, even at home.

This.

3 years of EV and Setien's imitating EV in CL, with team sitting back hoping to gain sth out of it.
- We are a CRAP team sitting in our penalty box and 'hitting on the break'. FACT. We don't have players for either part of this.
- Koeman has been trying all season to teach this team to press high and retrieve the ball as fast as possible. What's the point of all that 'teaching' if he changes that in the most important game?
There is the risk of Mbape ridiculing our high line? Of course!

I would rather take that risk and lose 2-3 or so, lose with the head up while still seeing the improvement of this team,
rather than play the crap EV game and get humiliated, lose as a small club.

Missed opportunity for "it is what it is".

Better not see him starting Umtiti - Lenglet or else we're fucked from the start.

Will depend a lot on the fitness of Dest imo. If he is not ready yet, Koeman is more or less forced to start both of them as long as he doesn't want to lose Frenkie in CM. And we all know the team loses more in midfield than it wins in defense with FDJ as CB. Paredes and Verratti are decent and midfield will be key.

Hard to imagine the outcome if Umtiti-Lenglet are starting against PSG. I have somehow that feeling that Mbappe won't be the main problem, but Kean and Icardi.
