Was same thing as Barca vs Chelsea in 2009. Inter simply had the majority of the errors going their way. Barca had some errors against them in the Chelsea tie also. Even more than Inter did.

Btw, Motta is not a straight red and Busi exaggerated that incident, but he was on a yellow. Doesn't make a difference if he's sent off for 2 yellows instead of straight red. Inter should have still played in 10 men.

There was the offside you mention, but Barca had a stonewall pen not given, a legit goal disallowed at the end on Camp Nou, and a blatant offside goal by Milito in the first leg. Those are 3 huge blatant errors that influenced the tie massively. Even if you look at goals, refs took one from Barca and added one to Inter. 2 goals were scored in the tie, and they managed to cancel the legit one by Bojan and allow the offside one by Milito.

Why would you even bring this up? It was clear there were many big errors against Barca in that tie. If we only talk about the blatant errors, it's 3-1 for Inter.

Just be thankful there was no VAR back then and leave it in the past. It's stupid to bring it back after 15 years on a Barca forum and make it seem like the refereeing didn't play a big part in us going out in 2010.
I understand and you make some good points, though I disagree that Inter should have still played in 10 men.
If this had happened to you against Real Madrid in a semifinal, you'd have been livid.
It was arguably not even a foul.

Inter got lucky as hell, just accept it.

Especially with the volcano, players run less than there season average in that game, the long bus ride took its toll

That's on top of the calls they were given.

Inter were great that season, but no team was better Barcelona that year all things being equal

This game though pretty much 50/50.

That we got a bit of luck is true, but you always need a bit of luck to go through.
You needed a lot of luck to go through in 2009 against Chelsea ... and it was even more controversial than Barcelona Inter.

And against Milan in 2006 semifinal when Shevchenko's unfairly disallowed goal would have sent Milan to the final

You had your fair share of controversial decision going your way.
So, maybe, just accept that that time they didn't.

It's not always Ovrebo or Markus Merk.

This is, in my view, a classic case where it is useless to discuss on which team is better. Maybe it is even Barcelona, who knows?

I call it useless though because, unless it goes to PKs, the team that goes through will be seen as better, and that will be what matters.

Yea I agree with what I think I read you wrote a few pages back, i said the same thing

We have a talented advantage, inter as a tactical advantage

So it balances it to 50/50.

Whoever goes through will be the one that makes the fewest mistakes and executes when the chances come

Unless there is some wrong ref decision, yea the better team either way will go through, unless a keeper has a legendary game.

and I like your keeper a lot better than ours .... hopefully no refereeing mistakes.
The winner of this semis will be favourites in the final imo

With Lewandowksi out, our chances of reaching Munich are lower but they are not zero. We have the best manager in the world and we shouldn’t lose hope until the final whistle blows in Milan.

Visca el Barça i Visca Catalunya!
Insha’Allah the 6th in Munich

Simone Inzaghi already reached Champions League final 2 years ago and lost only narrowly then. I like Flick but difference is not that great imo.

Lewa’s X factor is of course hard to replace but I think Ferran is no slouch and will give our tired legs a big boost with his pressing and movement.

A front 3 of Raphinha, Ferran, and Yamal with Olmo behind them is plenty of firepower.

Lewa will also be fit and fresh for the LL Clasico and the potential CL final, and we all know how he is when fresh.

Vamos.

Ferran instead of Lewandowski improves our press significantly and will help us versus Madrid & Inter. Ferran constantly moving around will create more space for the likes of Olmo, Raph and Yamal.

Lewy scored lots of goals this season but has been far from clinical this season missed loads of chances.
