Everybody can score out of the blue at any moment at this stage. Including from a setpiece, or some golazo from a top player or something. Even keepers can make errors, neither Sommer, nor Tek are among world's very best.

I simply believe we have the technical quality to trouble this Inter side. They are not that strong defensively. But we need to play strong away, because Inter is not the type of team you can sucker-punch in one leg like Dortmund was.

Absolutely but Inter trives at those, that's how they've managed not only to KO out Bayern from CL but to win both ties against them overall in terms of play imo. They are really dangerous and not to be messed around. Inzaghi is there for ~4 whole years building and it shows.

We certainly can trouble them but can we outscore them with first leg home and 2nd away? On paper absoluteley yes but so can they, it will be difficult as fuck imo, I'd be very surprised if we cruised pass them somehow.

Need Raphinha and Lewandowski in a good day yes or yes. We won't have many clear chances so we need our top two scorers to put those we will have away.

Bayern had a shit ton of openings. This aint 2010 Inter. They are well rounded, but run of the mill.

They are not a team that shuts down xG, both Bayern and Serie A teams created a lot vs them.

I think we will have a cumulative xG> 4.0 over both legs, easily.

The biggest advantage we will have, is raph and yamal getting into the space behind the wingbacks, assuming inter doesn't make any tactical charges.

A that point one of the back 3 will have to come out and cover the wide spaces, which will leave a two on two with lewa and whoever is on the opposite wing vs there CBs.

If we can get 2-4 of these opportunities over the two legs and take them, advantage us.

Inter will try to stretch our back 4, basically defending one and one across the line, with their two strikers and wing backs.

We will need frenkie and pedri to be smart and defend those half spaces.

Tactical I think inter has the advantage, talent wise we have the advantage.

Today, Inter played a more tactical game and relied more on their organisation to survive all BM threw at them unlike 1st leg when they took the initiative. Key strength is their organisation at the back(5-3-2) and ability to sit tight when they need to manage a result through.

I think in 2 legs Barca stand a better chance of winning the tie if and only if these two things are done well

1. Take your chances when you get them because they will be few and far between. A situation when you score 1 out of 11(vs Athletico), 0 out of 8 vs Leganes( needing an own goal to win) and 0 out of 2 vs Dortmund away( excl. OG ) should be a concern. Scoring 2/3 you might get that night would be like a dagger to their hearts.

2. Prep the team for counters. Inter relies more on soaking pressure and sprinting up for counters when you don't expect. Most times Barella and Mikhataryian build this and with some quick swift direct passes, you find the ball in your penalty box. While Martinez stays more in the middle to coordinate these counters, Thuram often runs either of the flanks to draw away one of the CDs or gets into the opponent's box to create chaos.

If Pedri plays, Barca will control the midfield in both legs, no gainsaying that.

Inter will man mark players. That's how Inzaghi sets ups his 3 man central defender (Bastoni, Acerbi and Pavard). Get the job done in the first leg with a minimum of 2-0, you can then manage the match at San siro the way Arsenal did at Madrid today(No rush, no risks)

Just hope we don't get new injuries and Balde will be fit for the second leg. We can beat them with our current starting XI, but there can't be more injuries.
