SPORT and MD will continue to take shots at Ter Stegen whenever they get an opportunity to do so since their blue-eyed boy Courtois wasn't bought.

Even if Bravo does indeed become the starting GK then one thing is clear to me and that is that the club see MAtS as the long term number 1 who is a part of the team's future hence he got that squad number.

They won't, because he's the reason we didn't sign their precious Courtois (although there's no way we could have got Courtois anyway).

Wasnt TS brought in with the understanding that there would be competition for the first spot? I don't think he's surprised by any of this. He knew the Spanish media were killers beforehand and he's a big boy so I'm sure he can take the heat.

I agree, competition for the number 1 spot can only be good. And I think MAtS has the personality to welcome the challenge of earning his place in the team. I'll also add that the new goalkeeper kits look fantastic.

Personally, hope Bravo's the starter. His passing during the world cup really impressed me. I see nothing wrong with him being the main man for a year or 2.

Rakitic wife is the sexiest hands down. So far I liked Antonella most but she is really something.

Anyone else think he's a bit too good to be a benchwarmer? I just hope he gets a lot of chances during the season. I don't want to see Ter stegen playing every match. A Real Madrid type of GK rotation might work out well next season.
