He is the first that needs to be sold. You can't approach a rebuild with a CB entering his best years and with so much experience who is prone to so many mistakes.
Pique is too old for the job and declining. Umtiti is physically not there anymore. Araujo and Mingueza have talent, but lack experience and need to improve a lot. You need a partner that leads them and Lenglet is not the one for the job. Age and experience-wise he should be, but he isn't. It's better to sell him and get someone else instead. Yes, he was signed as CB #3 but times have changed and Barca can't afford someone like him as a starter or as a bench option. Barca will probably have 3 young CBs next season and we need someone who can lead them so that one of them can develop into a starting CB. Lenglet doesn't possess the necessary leadership and can't provide security as he makes too many mistakes all by himself.

So practically our team without Messi and with (yet) another average defender. That sounds about right.

Lenglet signed as 3rd CB in Sevilla and then was one of the first players to take a pay cut to help the club.
A coach favourite too, in NT and Sevilla before Barca.
Doubt it is about the money, while I think we need upgrade he is simply a genuinely good lad and our only healthy CB.
He needs to be 3rd option CB
