Well the teams in the semi's pretty much sewn up now. Uruguay, Italy, Brasil, Spain.

Brasil don't look anywhere near the finished article, great individual performances from Neymar & Silva is great. Other than that not alot.

Uruguay look dreadful.

Italy have a strong chance but not if they played like they did against Japan.

Spains to lose really, performance in the opening game was outstanding. No team can live with that.

Suarez and Cavani were both dreadful tonight, yet you would think Suarez played well listening to the English commentators. Never said anything about his horrible touches and passing, yet slated Cavani constantly.

Forlan was by far the best player for Uruguay, made a difference when he came on the other night as well.

Final will be either Spain v Italia or Spain v Brasil, depending on who plays who in the semis. Uruguay are the weakest link of the bunch so don't expect them to make it.

Yeah i picked up on that too, constant bashing of Cavani (although deserved) not a mention of Suarez, who was pretty much invisible

But I thought the English press hated Suarez. He even tried to use this as an excuse to leave Liverpool.

Don't know about anyone else but I'd say my man of the match was Mikel. Forlan had a great game. But Mikel bossed the midfield.

I wish people would stop complaining, it happened. I have a feeling if it wasn't Italia (who a lot of people here seem to dislike because they think they play "anti-football" or whatever other reason there might be) it would have been more of a "that was a great match, credit to both teams" than "those Italians undeservedly won, parked bus, robbery!!!" Not to mention that counter-attacking =/= parking the bus anyway.

Sure, I think Japan deserved to qualify after their performance yesterday, I'm not taking anything away from them, but they didn't.

Well,at the end what matters is the final score, not who deserve and didnt deserve to qualify

Italy scored more goals, so they deserved it. I agree that it would have been nice to see Japan rewarded for their efforts and good game against Italy, but that's football.

And i dont think Spain did not respect Tahiti by scoring 10,DB could use all the starters and the score would be more than 10
