Not necessarily. Pedro's run was from the right diagonally moving to the center. Messi himself stays deep in midfield a lot of the time. Pedro doesn't make the runs for Barca because he's shackled to the touchline to provide cover for Alves

Thats what i meant. Your totaly right but he although dont have the space to make these runs often and if there is a chance to do so he passes the ball to Messi mostly.
