Damn, I hope the kid's okay.

Got to be a nasty sprain at least. I'm kinda shocked they didn't brace his neck and stretcher him off, just to be safe.

If you ever find yourself coming down like that, never try to do what he did (keep looking at the ground and fight to keep from hitting with one's arms). Tuck your head to your chest, body into a ball and roll.

Mateu Lahoz is the probable ref for the cdr final...

The guy who never calls a foul :VdB:

Madrid press advocating for Mateu Lahoz in the CdR final. What a surprise...

Look, in general I like his type of referee. He is like Bjorn Kuipers we have here in The Netherlands, he refereed the Confed Cup final and the Europa League final (also, us against Milan w/ the 2 penalties etc), they generally let the game go on without 'whistling it to death' (don't know how to put it in English tbh...). But there are teams, like Real Madrid, who will use that against the opponent to squeeze out every bit of room to take it to their advantage. Will be a very rough game for sure, although I am glad at least Mourinho isn't coach there any more. Would've been even worse.

Iturralde (ex-referee): "In 2011, the Spanish federation put me forward for the clasico cup final, but Madrid changed the referee." [cuatro]

Nothing surprising :coffee:
