It has been kind of typical for this squad that it tends to break apart more or less in second half.
And to be honest we had quite a lucky run in the league with lots of close games that we survived without conceding even though opponents were often camping in front of our goal towards the end of matches.

Still though, such an utter mental meltdown such as demonstrated in the second half tonight is new and there is absolutely no excuse for it.

Called it. I knew for a fact Real Madrid would score at least 2 goals, unless we scored first and got in their head. We never did and this is the price. Yeah we are missing 4 key players but we are still missing a more dangerous player to feed Lewandowski but also someone with pace and finishing ability. Raphinha, Ferren Torres and Fati arent that player.

Madrid are an elite side, not trash as some beleived lol. And they showed up on the counter big time, Vinicius had a phenomenal game. He's probably better than Mbappe this season.

We have a thin squad and some majorly injury prone players like Dembele, Pedri, Christensen, all of which miss many games a season it seems. It's a habit already. Some players aren't built very tough.

We lack funds to invest big and improve the squad in a short time.

The solutions to these three do not exist quickly, so that they can be accessed in the summer. You need to tough it out.
