We don't want to capitulate in Copa del Rey. But we're willing to rest players in it this year. It's the right approach. Valverde put in Suarez and Coutinho to get an away goal that would've been very important.

It was basically a free game for us to let valverde try new things arthur an alena got more time together tried semedo at lb to see how he could do. Prince done ok despite only joining the day before an probably had 1 training session with the team.
And at 2 0 down who would bet against us overturning it at home with a more settled line up an a rested busi an messi back in the lineup

Sometimes i do wonder what they do when they train. They dont seem to have a plan when they attack they are totally clueless when its about the final third. Keeping holding the ball is not everything. You need to able to create and score also. Are those guys on the field not good enough or is it a tactical thing?

I dont want to start about our defending because our biggest weakness seems to be to create. Right now only messi and dembele are capable to create and thats not enough. I dont expect a firework of assists and goals but how many chances did we create and how many were on target? Many of those on the field are from the first team and they cant create more than 2 chances in a whole game against sevilla who is struggling atm? We saw this even against weaker sides where we can and should expect more.

As a whole team we suck hard we are relying to much on individual actions.

Well, if the bench never plays, they get too rusty. Also, Valverde needs to see them in action, so he can have an accurate, current understanding of how they play.

We continue to see that the two most important players, by far, are Messi and Suarez. Without them, Barca might be mid-table in La Liga, definitely not in the Champions League.

Rakitic and Busquets are the best Barca midfielders. There are good things about Arthur, Vidal, and Alena, but their quality is currently significantly lower than Rakitic and Busquets.

Barca has one player who can play LB. Semedo put in a big effort yesterday, but the Sevilla wing players dominated that side of the field.

Coutinho is in a bit of a funk currently, but this team has no choice but to continue to play him whenever all three of Messi, Suarez and Dembele are not available. The talent level drop from Coutinho to Malcom and Boatang is so huge, Coutinho just has to play his way into better form.

The rotation will be tightening up now, or very soon. I hope Alena continues to get chances, he has enough talent and good attitude that he must be given the chance to learn how to play better. I think Malcom and Boatang should not play any more this season, unless there are no alternatives.

The team isn't coached at all. They rely completely on Messi to produce magic and link with others which is enough usually in La Liga and early stages of CL and Copa Del Ray when he played. It might be enough for a round or two in CL (Chelsea last year) but if he has an off day (Roma last year) or we face a top side then forget it.

Sevilla is a bipolar team, not all that surprised that they won at home, they are a completely different team away though, you will smash them with 3 or 4 goals at home.

we will probably draw or lose .

It's already a known fact that we won't get past sevilla.

BTW congrats to you for winning the cup after a long time , probably the league aswell since Barca always chokes on the end of the season.

Our next potential few fixtures:
Sevilla at home, valencia at home, potential Copa Semi 1st leg, Bilbao away, then a 1 week rest.

With Valencia at home on Saturday (they have a copa game on tuesday) and the possibility of not having a lot rest for the veterans if we do progress in the copa, its gonna be interesting how EV will rotate.

Looking forward to this one. Key is not to concede as well as we'll have to score 4 then.

Shame we can't count on Dembele.
